Lucca: the city behind the look

Lucca: the city behind the look
Patrick and Iver at Solli plass. Oslo, August 2026.

The story starts with form, not trends. Lucca is the reference: proportion, warm facades, narrow streets and a calm, timeless aesthetic that doesn't shout.

The city walls define the city. Within them lie arches, piazzas and restrained ornamentation — details that are there because they do something, not to be noticed. That is the same logic we wanted in a frame.

Luca Costa draws on the light, the rhythm and the calm of the city. An Italian sense of form, seen through Norwegian eyes.

Frogner, Oslo, August 2026. Arches, proportions and restrained ornamentation — the design language we look for, at home too.

Form first

Piazza dell'Anfiteatro is the clearest example: geometry and softness in the same space. The oval is strict, but the facades around it are warm, and the result is a square you stay in.

That is the balance we were looking for in the frame. Clear lines without becoming hard. A distinct front that is still easy to wear. Details that create balance — how the frame sits on the face, how it meets the light, and how it feels over a full day.

Warm facades, at home

The campaign was photographed in Oslo, not in Lucca. But the eye is the same: warm facades, quiet streets and details that don't shout.

The aesthetic we found in Tuscany isn't a place — it's a standard we carry with us.

That's why the design isn't only about how the frame looks. It's about how it sits on the face, how it meets the light, and how it feels over a full day.
